About the Energy Transition Impact Awards 2025
The energy transition is accelerating at an unprecedented pace! With investments surging, the number of announced projects has skyrocketed, making the industry more global than ever. We've seen the project pipeline grow dramatically—from 228 in December 2020 to a remarkable 1,572 by May 2024. What's even more impressive is the leap in committed-stage projects, rising from 102 to 434. Since 2020, clean hydrogen supply capacity beyond FID has surged from 716 kt per annum by 2030 to an incredible 4.6 Mt per annum, now evenly balanced between low-carbon and renewable hydrogen.
